Meet the Director
Anna Tewell
Anna began her career as a kindergarten teacher in Indianapolis Public Schools before spending eight years supporting K–12 students as an Intervention Specialist. In 2020, she joined Connections Academics full-time and soon after relocated to launch our Chicago location—her favorite city! Four years later, Anna continues to lead the Chicago tutoring team and Little Book Club classes with heart and expertise. She’s mom to Quinn and wife to Kevin, and loves city walks, trying new restaurants, and listening to audiobooks. Becoming a mom has deepened her appreciation for working alongside kids, families, and schools.

Little Book Club
The Little Book Club is a pre-literacy class for our youngest students, ages 1 to 4 years. Among introducing literacy skills, the club aims to cultivate a lifelong love for reading and provide social interaction opportunities for children to develop valuable interpersonal skills.

Baby Book Club
Baby Book Club is a literacy-based sensory class perfect for ages 3 to 12 months. The class builds on Little Book Club’s mission to nurture the love of learning right from the start with literacy and sensory classes.
After School Literacy Programming Partnerships
Strong literacy skills are the cornerstone of academic success and lifelong learning. Our After School Literacy Programming Partnerships are a testament to our commitment to fostering versatile learners who can effectively communicate which includes building their vocabulary, spelling, and comprehension skills.
