Meet Ashley Gore

We’re excited to introduce you to another one of our excellent tutors, Ashley Gore.

Ashley grew up in Beavercreek, Ohio and earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English from Western Kentucky University. (Go Tops!) Ashley started out scooping ice cream in high school and was also a server while in college, but has now been teaching for 12 years. She teaches AP English as a traveling teacher in Cincinnati Public Schools.

How long have you been tutoring with Connections?

I’ve been with Connections for over 2 years now.

What's your favorite thing about tutoring?

With teaching and tutoring, I love watching the growth that happens and getting to celebrate successes.

What is the best book you've read in the last year?

I loved Americanah, and I am about to finish James Joyce's Ulysses which has been quite the undertaking.

How would you spend a free Saturday afternoon?

I'm either with friends or my fiance adventuring around Cincinnati or relaxing while reading or catching up on my streaming show of the moment.

You just won an all expenses paid vacation! Where are you going?

I love to travel so this is a weighty question to answer, but I'd have to say I'd go tour the sites of Australia and New Zealand.
